The extension of the standard warranty coverage with additional service packages for the S2 and the S-lenses can be bought from specialist dealers, further ensuring the availability of the camera. All items of the S-system are sold with a 12-month warranty from the date of purchase. For all S-users there is a separate repair hotline to ensure fast and efficient service and support. Furthermore, Leica guarantees the availability of all replacement parts for a minimum of six years.



The Premium service package extends the full scope of the warranty to two years. Should any defect occur within the first three months, the product is exchanged. Premium customers also receive a 30% discount on repairs not covered by the warranty, such as damages caused by bumps.

The Platinum service package offers even more benefits. In addition to all the benefits of the Premium package, Platinum customers receive a replacement unit for the period of the repairs, so that they can continue working. In most regions an exchange within 24 hours can be guaranteed. Moreover, one maintenance service is offered by the Leica Customer Service free-of-charge so that the camera doesn't fail in the first place. Replacement of the camera shutter or lens central shutter, if necessary, is also free after more than 100,000 exposures. The warranty for the LEICA S2-P with saphire glass automatically includes the Platinum service package with the extended range of services.
